John J Giordano is a pioneer in holistic addiction treatment. He is the founder and former president of G & G Holistic Addiction Treatment Center, a 62 bed in/out patient JCAHO accredited facility located in North Miami Beach, Florida. During his tenure as president, Giordano was one of the first to introduce holistic modalities into the mainstream of addiction treatment. Decades of scientific research has borne out Giordano’s early beliefs that addiction is a mosaic of many seemingly unrelated parts – and each part requires specialized modalities.
Giordano has contributed to sixty-five papers that have been published in peer reviewed scientific and medical journals. He looks upon this new appointment as an opportunity to further the understanding and effects of Reward Deficiency Syndrome (RDS) in the medical field as well as the public domain. His fervent belief is that a through understanding of RDS is the key to effective addiction treatment and fewer relapses.
