Dr. John Giordano is an expert in the treatment of addiction, mental health, and the founder of The National Institute For Holistic Addiction Studies (NIFHAS). He is the author of “Proven Holistic Treatment For Addiction & Chronic Relapse”, “How To Beat Your Addictions And Live A Quality Life”, and his most recent book is the acclaimed: “The Kid From The South Bronx Who Never Gave Up,” and is the co-author of “Molecular Neurobiology of Addiction Recovery: The 12 Steps Program and Fellowship.”
Over twenty years ago Giordano founded the prestigious G & G Holistic Addiction Treatment Center in North Miami Beach, Florida — a 62 bed in-patient/out-patient JCAHO accredited addiction treatment facility which he started for $300 and then sold in 2012 for $45,000,000 .

It was by no accident that John Giordano chose addiction and mental health treatment as his life’s work. Growing up the son of a heroin dealer and trying to cope with the trauma of being molested as a young boy, he fell hard into drugs and alcohol. Over thirty-eight years ago, at the urging of his family, John entered rehab. He emerged a changed man – committed to helping others afflicted by this terrible disease.
John has authored two additional books “How To Beat Your Addictions And Live A Quality Life”, “Proven Holistic Treatment For Addiction & Chronic Relapse” and was a contributing author for ‘Molecular Neurobiology of Addiction Recovery: The 12 Steps Program and Fellowship’. with the esteemed Dr. Blum and Dr. Gold.

Hours before kickoff, many if not most of the football players will get onboard with what has become known as the ‘T -Train.’
The ·r in ‘T – Train’ is an acronym for Toradol, the brand name for the powerful painkiller ketorolac trornethamine. It is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) used for the short-term management of moderate to severe pain. Toradol is in the same class of painkillers as Advil and Aleve but far more powerful. When it was approved by the FDA and released to the medical community, the drug was indicated specifically for the relief of severe post-operative pain.

Redefining The Addiction Treatment Industry
As he began his career in addiction treatment he became increasingly dissatisfied with the quality of care he observed in treatment facilities. John decided to set out on his own. With only $300, he opened an addiction treatment facility that evolved into the highly awarded, JCAHO accredited, 62 bed G & G Holistic Addiction Treatment in North Miami Beach, Florida, which sold in 2012 for $45,000,000.
He has also contributed to over 80 scientific peer-reviewed medical research papers. Research Gate ranks him as one of the top researchers in the world.
Giving Back To The Community Through Public Service
Giving back to his community has always been a core principle of Mr. Giordano’s.
His efforts to better his community have also been recognized.
Recipient of the MLK Award
He invited President Reagan to attend the Grand Opening of Flea Market U.S.A. with James Brown. The White House sent Carey Meeks the State Representative. Who worked with the Martin Luther King Foundation and together they decided to award Mr. Giordano with the distinguished “Martin Luther King Award” for his work in the community and for helping to revitalize the Liberty City and Overtown areas after the riots.
Mr. Giordano brought the African American community together by teaching people how to run a business and receive help from the small business association. Including getting assistance from the religious community.
Mr. Giordano received a letter from the White House regarding the Grand Opening of Flea Market U.S.A.
The Grand Opening of Flea Market U.S.A. culminated with the free James Brown concert produced and organized by Mr. Giordano. Drawing an audience of approximately 60,000 attendees and bringing together the Hispanic, African American and Caucasian communities at the concert. Showing the community to be safe and helping to pave the way for the revitalization of Liberty City and Overtown after the riots.
He was also awarded the Certificate of Appreciation from the Homeless Community of Dade County and the Humanitarian Award from South Florida Public Television Station, Cable Tap.
In addition to his daily responsibilities; John has provided counseling and trauma recovery services to law enforcement officers and Iraq and Afghanistan war veterans. He is a state and federal expert witness and the Chaplain of the North Miami Police Department. As a 10th-degree black belt and National Karate Champion, he trains law enforcement officers and Green Berets in self-defense and negotiation techniques.

Theatrical Experience
Wrote, Produced and Directed 8 Kabuki Theater plays in Jackie Gleason Theater located in Miami Beach, Fl.
Mr. Giordano incorporated karate demonstrations woven into the storyline, about a young boy becoming a Shaolin Monk. There was white face Kabuki makeup, and authentic music and costumes.
The performances had standing room only for 8 consecutive years, He combined international karate championships for the first act while the second act was a theatrical performance. He combined art with sport.
Legendary Martial Arts Career
Grandmaster John Giordano has practiced martial arts for over 60 years and has compiled a long list of accomplishments.
He started his own dojo teaching the martial art karate style Nisei Gōjū-ryū in south Florida and taught many students including the blind. One of which went on to become a Karate Champion himself.
Mr. Giordano also began integrating women into the martial arts side by side with men in the early 70’s and going on to help them to start competing in their own competitions.
He was named one of the top fighters in Florida in 1972.
